About Select New & Used Tires

Located at 8168 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22309, Select New & Used Tires operates as an used tire shop serving Alexandria in Virginia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Select New & Used Tires at (703) 704-9182; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 138 reviews, which is a strong result for an used tire shop in Alexandria and suggests consistent service.

Would’ve been a good experience from price to customer service if it wasn’t for one thing. I’ll explain. I got a flat at a bad time while I was finishing up an errand. After locating a tire and talking with someone here, I rode my happy little hour, on a little baby spare just to get here. My misfortune seemed to get worse when one of my two phones dies and the gps situation took a turn. I tried calling to say I would be late which was greeted by his usual response of “no problem” so I thought it was ok. I said 10 mins, I might have needed 5 more after pulling over. I pulled over and tried charging my phone to figure out this last mile when suddenly, and very oddly right before I could call and ask for help or just tell them whats going on, I got a call back and immediately hung up on! I called back multiple times knowing they weren’t going to be happy or going to wait, but the apology I would’ve issued at that time won’t ever happen. Things do happen and I get that, but when someone’s in trouble or needs help, don’t pretend like it’s “no problem”! Now my situation just got a little worse and I’m not very satisfied or happy. Thanks for nothing basically! Have a good weekend and hol

Fast excellent service. Picked up a nail while on the freeway. I drove to the shop and the tire was repaired in less than 3 minutes.

Tucked away at the back of a parking lot is Select New & Used Tires. Map it or you will miss it. Right after Harbor Freight Tools on Richmond Highway if you're coming from the west. I drive a 2021 4Runner Nightshade Limited. Bought some barely used tires on EBAY at a great price and hunted for a local resource to install them. Many tire places these days do not want to mount and balance tires unless they sell them to you or you buy them from Tire Rack or the like. I previously used Community Car Care in Annandale (near my house) but they curtly informed me they no longer will do this. Victor Martinez and his team at Select Tire were AMAZING. Mount, balance and install two tires cost me $60 total --- including sales tax and tire disposal. I tipped my technicians because they were so crazy fast! I arrived and was done in about 30 minutes. That's not a typo. When have you ever visited a mechanic or tire shop and been in and out in 30 minutes? Usually it takes hours and hours out of your life. Steady stream of customers on a Sunday shows they have a loyal local following. They were super fast, courteous and did a great job. I would recommend you tell them your lug nut torque settings

They're open later than the other tire shops around the area which is fantastic! I had two tires that I needed plugged. One of them for sure had a nail in it but the other one was pretty questionable if it even pierced it or not. They were honest with me and only charged for one tire. I WILL be coming back here again for any other tire repairs that I need!

Had a great experience, when there to get replacement tires for my car. All 4 were flat so I couldn't drive my vehicle. Eddie was so kind and offered to come to my house to remove the bad tires so I didn't have to pay a tow truck since I live close to this shop. The service was exceptional and the prices were more than fair. Very honest as well. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who isn't trying to spend alot of money and still get great service.
